Approval conditions

The Approved Provider must ensure that an additional staff member above the prescribed educator to child ratios is present and actively working with children during arrival and departure transition times. The additional staff member must be used to support active supervision practices during this time. By 31 March 2024, the Approved Provider must: o Ensure that the nominated supervisor, educational leader, and educators employed, appointed, or engaged to work in the service, attend an educative forum conducted by the Regulatory Authority in relation to the content and application of the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011, including requirements of the National Quality Standard. o Provide all staff with professional development and training on the adequate supervision of children and protection of children from any harms or any hazards within an early childhood education and care setting. The approved provider must ensure that: ▪ The professional development and training is provided to all staff employed at the service who are responsible for educating and caring for children attending the service. ▪ The professional development and training is provided by a recognised early childhood training organisation, consultant, or expert. ▪ Written approval is obtained from the Regulatory Authority of the suitability of the training organisation, consultant, or expert prior to them being engaged. ▪ At the completion of the professional development training, documentary evidence is provided to the Regulatory Authority of each individual staff members successful completion of the professional development training.
