Approval conditions

1. The approved provider must ensure that whenever children are being educated and cared for by the service, the minimum number of educators working directly with the children is no less than the number calculated in accordance with the following ratios: a. for children from birth to 24 months of age — 1 educator to 4 children b. for children over 24 months and less than 36 months of age — 1 educator to 5 children c. for children aged 36 months of age or over - 1 educator to 8 children and the ratios must be calculated using children’s strict chronological age. 2. The approved provider must ensure that for each age-group there is a Diploma qualified educator, who has fully completed their qualification, working directly with children at all times. 3. The approved provider must ensure that all times children are in the Daffodil outdoor area there is a minimum of 1 extra educator over the minimum number required by condition working directly with the children. 4. The approved provider must ensure that all times children are in the Daffodil outdoor area the barrier that has been added to the outdoor area must remain in place.
