Approval conditions

The approved provider must ensure that a nominated supervisor conducts a face-to-face review of all employees’ satisfactory understanding of the service specific supervision risk assessment and the staff contingency plan (review). The review is not to be conducted via video-conferencing facilities. The approved provider must ensure that the review is conducted with all current employees as soon as reasonably practicable and with new employees prior to them commencing at the service. The approved provider must ensure that a written record of each review is made immediately following each review (review record), and that the review record includes details of the time and date of the review, the nominated supervisor who conducted it, how the nominated supervisor is satisfied on reasonable grounds of each employee’s satisfactory understanding, and an acknowledgement by each educator who attended the review. The approved provider must ensure each review record is kept available for inspection by an authorised officer, on the same basis as any document prescribed for the purpose of section 175 of the National Law. The approved provider must ensure that at all times when moving between approved spaces the enrolled children are accompanied by a contact staff member. The approved provider must ensure that only children who are currently enrolled in, and attend or will attend, a school in the current year attend the outside school hours care program. The approved provider must ensure that all children attending the outside school hours care program must be at least 4 years of age by 30 June in the year they attend the program. The approved provider is to ensure that at all times enrolled children over preschool age require access to and from the toilet facilities, they are accompanied and supervised by a contact staff member.
