Approval conditions

This service is approved to provide education and care to children from birth up to and including over preschool age, not including school children. To comply with regulation 84A of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the approved provider must ensure: - each child who is 12 months of age or under has a cot; and - each child over 12 months of age who developmentally requires a cot is provided with a cot to meet their sleep and rest needs (the sleep and rest condition). To facilitate supervision of children at all times the approved provider must ensure that, across Activity Rooms 1 and 2 combined, there are no more than eight children at any one time who require a cot under the sleep and rest condition as required under regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations. To comply with regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the approved provider must ensure that cots in Activity Rooms 1 and 2 are positioned in accordance with the diagrams titled 'Cot Location Map' displayed adjacent to the sleep room doors. To comply with regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the approved provider must ensure that a minimum of two (2) educators are present within the indoor play space at all times while children are accessing the area to ensure adequate supervision is maintained. The approved provider must ensure that, whenever children are accessing the mezzanine play space, a minimum of two (2) educators are physically present within the mezzanine play space at all times to provide adequate supervision. In addition, a third educator must be immediately available to assist with children's toileting and transitions to and from the amenities, so that the minimum of two (2) educators remains in the mezzanine play space at all times. The approved provider must ensure that the mirrors installed at the service are constantly maintained and operational. This is to ensure the facilitation of adequate supervision of children at all times they are being educated and cared for at the service, having regard to the need to maintain the rights and dignity of the children, as required under regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
