1. The approved provider must ensure that the maximum number of children being educated and cared for at the service at any one time does not exceed 29. 2. The approved provider must prepare a Quality Improvement Plan and submit a copy of that plan to the Commission 1 month after the service re-opens, and every 3 months thereafter. 3. The approved provider must ensure this plan demonstrates: a. the progress towards addressing an uplift in quality across all each quality areas in the National Quality Standards. b. evidence that practices have been developed and implemented to address the following non-compliance: i. Ensuring premises, furniture and equipment are safe, clean and in good repair consistent with Regulation . ii. Taking reasonable precautions to protect children from harm or hazards, consistent with section 167 of the National Law, particularly in relation to reporting of child protection concerns. iii. Ensuring children’s attendance is recorded accurately consistent with Regulation 177(2) and Regulation 158. iv. Rehearsing the service’s emergency and evacuation procedures, consistent with Regulation 97(3) of the National Regulations. v. Ensuring medication records are completed accurately consistent with Regulation 177(2) in conjunction with Regulation 92. vi. Ensuring first aid kits are suitably equipped consistent with Regulation 89(1). vii. Ensuring educators, staff, students and volunteers are advised of the existence and application of the current child protection law; and any obligations that the person may have under that law consistent with Regulation 84. viii. Implementing safe practices for handling, preparing and storing food to minimise risks to children being educated and cared for by the service consistent with Regulation 77(b). 4.a.The approved provider must ensure that: an early childhood teacher (ECT), or educator actively working towards an ECT qualification is employed at the service commencing from the first day of operation. The hours this ECT works and/or how they are accessed should reflect Regulation 130(1)(2)(3) or Regulation 272(1A). The approved provider must notify the Regulatory Authority of the name of this person and of any future changes to this person. 4b. The approved provider must ensure that: Educators engaged to work at the service are re-inducted prior to the service re-opening on all policies and procedures required under Regulation 168. You must submit evidence of this re-induction to the Commission within 1 week of the service re-opening and how you have ensured their understanding to follow these policies and procedures. 4c. The approved provider must ensure that: Refresher training for all educators working at the service is conducted every six months on the policies and procedures required under Regulation 168.
