Approval conditions

This service is approved to provide education and care to children from birth up to and including over preschool age, not including school children. The approved provider must not educate and care for more than 12 non-ambulant infants at any one time under this service approval. The approved provider must ensure that a ratio across the service of 1 staff member to 2 non-ambulant infants is maintained at all times education and care is provided to non-ambulant infants, to assist in the safe evacuation of these children from the service during regular rehearsals and any actual emergency. The approved provider must ensure that the mirrors installed at the service in the children’s outdoor play areas are constantly maintained and operational. This is to ensure the facilitation of adequate supervision of children at all times they are being educated and cared for at the service, as required by regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations. It is a condition of the service waiver that the approved provider must ensure that an adequate amount of healthy ‘live’ plants in a variety of species and sizes is maintained at all times on both level one and lower ground level, in both the actual outdoor and covered outdoor areas of the premises. This is to ensure children are afforded opportunities to explore and experience the features of a natural environment as required under regulation 113 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations
