Approval conditions

The service must not operate as a single-educator site at any time while only unqualified educators are rostered and children are in attendance. Single-operator arrangements are only permitted where the educator holds a qualification that is published under regulation 137(2) in the list of approved qualifications for second and subsequent qualified educators working with children over preschool age for South Australia. The educational leader must attend the service on site at least weekly to support educational program development, implementation, and evaluation and provide evidence including visit records of this to the Education Standards Board within 5 days of the end of each month. The approved provider is required to continue with recruitment efforts for a suitability qualified person and must provide evidence of an updated recruitment strategy which will reduce the services usage of temporary waivers to the Education Standards Board by 31 July 2026.
