The approved provider must ensure that school age children do not access the ground floor outdoor area ‘Outdoor Play’, as denoted on ‘GA Plans Ground’ and the first floor outdoor area ‘Outdoor Play’ as denoted on ‘GA Plan First Floor’. The approved provider must ensure that children being educated and cared for in ‘Playroom 3’ as denoted on ‘GA Plan First Floor’ have daily access to outdoor space on the ground floor. The approved provider must ensure that they incorporate and maintain natural elements and features within outdoor spaces. The approved provider is required to ensure objects are not placed or able to be placed in a manner that may allow a child to climb over barriers or fences; and, all play equipment in the outdoor play spaces are maintained and placed in a way that meets the requirements of the Australian Playground Standards (Standard AS 4685) with particular consideration given to falling space, impact areas and free space.
