Approval conditions

The approved provider must ensure that room 6 is not used to provide education and care. This service is approved to provide education and care for a maximum of 93 children. This service is approved to provide education and care to children from birth up to and including over preschool age, not including school children. To comply with regulation 84A of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the approved provider must ensure – • each child up to 12 months of age has a cot, and • each child over 12 months of age who developmentally needs a cot has one to meet their needs for sleep and rest. (“sleep and rest condition”). The approved provider must ensure there is a minimum of four (4) educators, engaged and present to provide supervision in Outdoor Play Area 2 and on the verandah adjacent to Rooms 3 and 4, at any time children are utilizing that outdoor play space. A minimum of two (2) of these educators must remain in Outdoor Play Area 2 at all times, to ensure adequate supervision, while other educators assist children to access amenities. The approved provider must ensure there is a minimum of three (3) educators, engaged and present to provide supervision in Outdoor Play Area 3 at any time children are utilizing that outdoor play space. A minimum of two (2) of these educators must remain in Outdoor Play Area 3 at all times, to ensure adequate supervision, while other educators assist children to access amenities. The approved provider must ensure that the mirrors installed at the service, and reflected on marked up plans, are constantly maintained and operational. This is to ensure the facilitation of adequate supervision of children at all times they are being educated and cared for at the service, having regard to the need to maintain the rights and dignity of the children, as required under regulation 115 of the Education and Car Services National Regulations. The approved provider must ensure Rooms 3, 4 and 5 provide care only to children aged over 24 months.
