Approval conditions

It is a condition of the service waiver that the Approved Provider must utilise 249.6m² of alternative space to satisfy unencumbered outdoor space measurements. It is a condition of the service waiver that regulation 113 Outdoor space – natural environment of the Education and Care Services National Regulations (including natural vegetation) is complied with in relation to the covered play areas across both levels of the service. It is a condition of the service waiver that each child who is provided care in the lower level must have daily access to the upper level genuine unencumbered outdoor space. The 3 to 5 year old children at the service must undertake daily excursions to St Eugene’s College or bush kindy to access genuine outdoor environments. It is a condition of the service waiver that a record must be kept to show the daily access to the upper level and excursions, including when this is not possible as it would be reasonably considered unsafe to do so. It is a condition of the service waiver that the maximum capacity on the ground floor is limited to a total of 36 children. This service is approved to provide education and care to children from birth up to and including preschool children. This service is not approved to provide education and care to school children. The Approved Provider must ensure that the mirrors installed at the service are constantly maintained and operational. This is to ensure the facilitation of adequate supervision of children at all times they are being educated and cared for at the service, having regard to the need to maintain the rights and dignity of the children as required under regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations. It is a condition of the service approval that an adequate amount of healthy, live plants of a variety of species and sizes is maintained at all times in the level 1 outdoor play area. The service must also allow these plants to mature and establish in order to provide shade to children. This is to ensure children are afforded adequate opportunities to explore and experience the natural environment, and to provide additional shade to protect children from overexposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
