Approval conditions

The approved provider must ensure at least 3 educators are present at all times in the outdoor area of the service working directly with any children in the area. If there are more than 21 children present in the outdoor area of the service the approved provider must ensure there is at least one educator working directly with every seven children present in the area. The approved provider must ensure that a nominated supervisor, or if not present a responsible person, carries out supervision monitoring checks at least two times during each before and after school session, with approximately equal times between checks, to ensure that all educators rostered are working directly with the children in their care. During vacation care, the approved provider must ensure that a nominated supervisor, or if not present a responsible person, carries out supervision monitoring checks at least four times each day, with approximately equal times between checks, to ensure that all educators rostered are working directly with the children in their care. The approved provider must ensure that the nominated supervisor or responsible person record the times he or she carries out the supervision checks, and that the record is made immediately after the supervision check has been carried out. The approved provider is to ensure that at all times enrolled children preschool age or under require access to and from the toilet facilities, they are accompanied and supervised by a contact staff member, including while in the bathroom.
