Approval conditions

1. The maximum number of children attending the service at any point in time is now 60. 2. The approved provider must engage an external consultant for a period of at least 12 months from the effective amendment of service approval date. a. The consultant must provide direct guidance with relation to service operations relating to all of the Working Towards National Quality Standard areas identified in the most recent Assessment and Rating. b. The consultant must provide direct support relating to adequate supervision, in line with the approved providers responsibilities to ensure adequate supervision. c. Evidence of this consultancy and actions taken, must be provided every 30 calendar days for the duration the condition is imposed, this must be provided by the approved provider or consultant to the Regulatory Authority. 3. The approved provider must provide evidence to the Regulatory Authority of all OSHC staff understanding and acknowledging the services supervision policy and plans that have been put in place. 4. The fitness and propriety of the approved provider will be re-assessed. To maintain service approval the approved provider and any relevant persons with management and control, must sit the national provider knowledge assessment test. a. The provider/s must achieve the national agreed pass mark of 80% b. Should this not be achieved, the provider must re-sit the test and/or work directly with the regulatory authority to increase knowledge to the level required to effectively operate a service, or to transfer the service to a new provider.
