Approval conditions

All educators must complete an induction on the services accounting for children and supervision practices and procedures on commencement of employment. This must be documented within the staff record for each educator and provided on request. All educators must engage in active supervision training yearly, evidence of this training must be provided to the regulatory authority by 30 June each calendar year – commencing 2025. The approved provider must ensure that there are no more than 11 preschool children in attendance at the before school care and/or vacation care session. The approved provider must actively support educators to obtain approved early childhood education and care qualifications. In the event that educators do not enrol in approved early years qualifications, the provider must actively recruit suitably qualified educators. Evidence of meeting this condition must be provided to the regulatory authority on request All educators must engage in approved professional development relating to supporting children's behaviour that is appropriate to preschool age and school age children. Evidence must be provided on request.
