Approval conditions

The approved provider will operate the service at reduced capacity as follows: - Up until 3 months no more than 50% of total approved places - From 3 to 6 months no more than 75% of total approved places - From 6 months 100% of total approved places The approved provider will provide evidence to the Regulatory Authority of its operation at this reduced capacity at 3 months and 6 months after commencement. This evidence must include attendance records. From the date of commencement for a period of 6 months, the approved provider must ensure that the educator to child ratios are maintained above the requirements of the National Law as per the following required levels: - for children from birth to 24 months of age - 1 educator to 3 children. - for children over 24 months of age and less than 36 months of age –1 educator to 4 children; and - for children aged 36 months of age or over (not including children over preschool age) - 1 educator to 8 children. The approved provider must display, in a place that is clearly visible to anyone from the main entrance to the education and care service premises, a notice advising families and other persons that, in accordance with regulation 177(3)(a) of the National Regulations, they may request access to a record of the service’s compliance with the Law, as set out in regulation 167.
