Approval conditions

The approved provider must ensure that at all times children are being educated and cared for, that one additional educator above the minimum prescribed in regulation 123(1) of the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 is available to ensure adequate supervision of children when accessing hygiene facilities. At least once every 12 months, the approved provider must consult an appropriate expert such as a fire safety advisor or fire safety engineer to update the services emergency and evacuation procedure in relation to the services close proximity to petrol stations. Prior to commencing operation, the approved provider must engage a nominate supervisor who holds at least an approved diploma level education and care qualification and has at least 3 years’ experience in an education and care service.
