Approval conditions

Within 3 months of approval being granted, the approved provider is required to conduct a rehearsal of the emergency and evacuation procedures in accordance with regulation 97(3)(a) of the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011. The regulatory authority requires that the service provides in writing a full report of the emergency and evacuation practice including the names and location of all staff, educators, children (including dates of birth) and other adults that were at the service at the time the alarm sounded and a full evaluation of the practice. The approved provider must ensure that children have regular access to genuine outdoor space at the education and care service The Approved Provider is required to ensure objects are not placed in a manner that may allow a child to climb over barriers or fences, and all play equipment in the outdoor play spaces is maintained and placed to meet the requirements of the Australian Playground Standards (Standard AS 4685:2014) with particular consideration given to falling space, impact areas and free space.
