The Approved Provider must ensure that the Nominated Supervisor, staff and volunteers are aware of the risk assessment and follow the procedures for the adequate supervision of children in the outdoor play spaces, and; The Approved Provider must ensure that they incorporate and maintain natural elements and features within outdoor play spaces. The Approved Provider must ensure that objects are not placed in a manner that may allow a child to climb over barriers or fences, and all play equipment in the outdoor play spaces is maintained and placed to meet the requirements of the Australian Playground Standards (Standard AS 4685:2014) with particular consideration given to falling space, impact areas and free space.
