Approval conditions

No more than two educators who do not meet the certificate III level requirements of regulation 356(2) can be counted in the educator to child ratios at any one time. The nominated educators who do not meet the certificate III level requirement of 356(2) must hold or be enrolled in and studying for a post-secondary qualification and have relevant experience in the education and care of children over preschool age. The service must ensure that evidence of the nominated educator’s current enrolment or qualification and relevant experience is kept on their staff record. This condition only applies to a maximum of 10 weeks per calendar year for the purposes of vacation care.
