Approval conditions

The approved provider must ensure that only children who are currently enrolled in, and attend or will attend, a school in the current year attend the outside school hours care program. The approved provider must ensure that at all times when moving between approved spaces the enrolled children are accompanied by a contact staff member. The approved provider is to ensure that at all times enrolled children over preschool age require access to and from the toilet facilities, they are accompanied and supervised by a contact staff member. The approved provider must ensure that there are no more than 24 children within the “OSHC demountable/Kindilink room” - as identified on the plan - at any one time. The approved provider must ensure that the plan identifying the “OSHC demountable/Kindilink Room” is displayed adjacent to the prescribed information about service approval conditions per section 172 of the National Law. An approved provider must ensure that, whenever children are being educated and cared for by the service, the relevant number of educators educating and caring for the children is at least one educator more than the number prescribed for this purpose. The approved provider must ensure that a nominated supervisor, in consultation with the child’s family, develops a written support plan for each child who has additional needs – as the term is used in the Guide to the National Quality Framework - within 14 days of the child being enrolled at the service. The approved provider must keep these support plans available for inspection by an authorised officer, on the same basis as any document prescribed for the purpose of section 175 of the National Law. The approved provider must ensure that all new staff who attend the service, including permanent, relief and agency staff, review the support plans in place for each child in attendance, prior to working directly with the children.
