Approval conditions

This service is approved to provide education and care to children from birth up to and including over preschool age, not including school children. To comply with regulation 84A of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the approved provider must ensure – • each child up to 12 months of age has a cot, and • each child over 12 months of age who developmentally needs a cot has one to meet their needs for sleep and rest (“sleep and rest condition”). To comply with regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the approved provider must ensure in Indoor Play 1 there are no more than 10 children who are in the two groups in the sleep and rest condition. To comply with regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the approved provider must ensure that cots are positioned according to the diagrams in Indoor Play 1, labelled cot room layout plan, adjacent to the sleep room doors. The approved provider must ensure that the mirrors at the service are constantly maintained and operational. This is to ensure the facilitation of adequate supervision of children at all times they are being educated and cared for at the service, having regard to the need to maintain the rights and dignity of the children, as required under regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations. The approved provider must ensure there is a minimum of three (3) educators, engaged and present to provide supervision in Outdoor Play 2 at any time children are utilising that outdoor play space. A minimum of two (2) of these educators must remain in Outdoor Play 2 at all times, to ensure adequate supervision, while other educators assist children to access amenities. The approved provider must ensure that no outdoor play equipment or natural vegetation is placed within one metre of the perimeter fencing of any children's outdoor play space on Level 1.
