Approval conditions

The service is approved to provide education and care to children from birth up to and including over preschool age, not including school children. The Approved Provider will ensure that all supervision mirrors, CCTV cameras, and monitors installed at the service are constantly maintained and operational to support adequate supervision at all times, while upholding the rights and dignity of children in accordance with Regulation 115. The Approved Provider will ensure that each child up to 18 months of age has access to a cot to meet their individual need for sleep and rest, and that additional cots are available for children over 18 months of age where appropriate, based on developmental needs. It is a condition of the service waiver that the approved provider must utilise 77.91m² of covered space to satisfy part of the unencumbered outdoor space requirements. It is a condition of the service waiver that the approved provider must ensure that an adequate amount of healthy, live plants in a variety of species and sizes is maintained at all times in the alternative space of the service premises, ensuring children are afforded opportunities to explore and experience the natural environment. At least one (1) additional staff member, in addition to the number required to meet the educator to child ratios, must be available at all times to assist in the supervision of children being educated and cared for by the service.
