Approval conditions

The Approved Provider must ensure that the Nominated Supervisor, staff and volunteers are aware of the risk assessment and follow the procedures for the adequate supervision of children using the outdoor space which contains the service entry gate. The Approved Provider must ensure that objects are not placed in a manner that may allow a child to climb over barriers or fences, and all play equipment in the outdoor play spaces is maintained and placed to meet the requirements of the Australian Playground Standards (Standard AS 4685:2014) with particular consideration given to falling space, impact areas and free space. The Approved Provider is required to make arrangements within 3 months of service approval being granted with the relevant regional office to arrange attendance when the service will conduct a rehearsal of the emergency and evacuation procedures in accordance with regulation 97(3)(a) of the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.
