The service is approved to operate with ONLY one less qualified educator than required under regulation 290. Educator to child ratios must continue to be maintained at all times. The service director is required to be present at the service, to provide support to educators at all times that the waiver is being utilised. Should the service director be unavailable at the service on a day that qualification requirements cannot be met, the approved provider must make alternative business arrangements to ensure compliance, such as reducing the number of children being educated and cared for.
